File Naming Convention

(two digit year, two digit month, two digit day, two digit hour,two digit minute, station code)
Example: THAZ recorded an event at 19:30 on June 23, 2001 -The SAC file would be named 0106231930THAZ.sac

Event Extraction

When extracting an event use a window starting approximately 5 minutes before the P Wave and ending once the recording has settled to the background noise level for several minutes.

Identifing the Event

To identify the event, check the Current Worldwide Earthquake List from the USGS

Instructions

• Extract the event, save it as a SAC file
• Click the 'Browse' button below
• Navigate to and then select your SAC file
• Click 'Upload'
• For security reasons there is a delay before files are available for download
